Construction Technology II

This was my favorite course in semester one. Fortunately, it was still my favorite course in semester two. I really learn a lot thorough the lectures and explanation from Mr.Chiew. He use photos and videos to impressive our mind during the lecture. The individual assignment is quite fun for me. I finished it in two days because I like to do things efficiently. This is my first time to draw something intentionally because I don't like drawings. I am quite proud to my drawings because it is not ugly but neat. I can really observe every single things in the drawings to make my work perfect. I wouldn't do this kind of things in my high school. Thanks for the opportunity to let us finish out individual assignment. My group assignment got four group mates, they are Wen Qi, Zhuang Jing, Jia Yi and Claire from France. This is my first time to make a video myself and work with a exchange student. We went to a construction site at Salak Tinggi, I am so happy to be with them. We took lots of videos from the construction site and ask the supervisor questions when we had problem. We decided that our video topic will be wall and have a small meeting to distribute the video we took from site. I still remember clearly it was a rainy day when we arrived Salak Tinggi. We use umbrella and walk through the he mugs to get into the site. It is so hard to walk in a rainy day with strong winds and need to walk carefully in the construction site. We really felt exhausted and satisfied when we finished our shooting. We use a few days to do some research and finished our video. I am really proud for our group because some of us really didn't make a video before but done a great jobs. No matter how was the final marks, this experience is really mean so much to us. Thank you Mr.Chiew for the opportunity you had gave to us and taught us so much in the class.

Site Surveying

Site Surveying is a tough subject nut after I really understand how the formula works it became an interesting subject. When I was in the lecture class, all the module is attracted to me because it is difficult and not unsolvable. I really enjoy when I was in the class. I could learn something new and hand on practice when tutorial. I finish my tutorial questions by discussing with my friends. We solve it together when we have problem among the questions. When we really cannot solve it, we ask help from our lecturer. It is quite lucky when we are doing field work but the sun is not so hot. I remembered got two times is a sunny day when we are in the car park doing the field work. Group work is really important and we need to follow instructions carefully. In my opinion, we must memories the lecture before we went down to the car park. If not the whole group will be messy and cannot finish the field work on time. We should plan it with our group mates before we started to set up the instruments. My group mates for this semester are Li Ming, Bear and William. We need to distribute the work evenly and record the result definitely so we would not make mistake when we are doing our report. I am so appreciate that we work and learn together in this semester. I am so excited when we are setting up the instruments and take down the results because it is not just some numbers. It was the result of our hard work and we really apply the knowledge in the classroom with our hand.

Building Services I

At the second day when I started to learn Ventilation I thought this is a very boring module. I just see the ppt slides then I can understand everything already but luckily it wasn't. After a few modules I found out that the knowledge had been taught is quite useful in our daily life. I really don't know we need to measure building services in a building before this lecture. I can find out the building services that conceal in a building that we didn't notice thorough our lectures and tutorials. In our group project, we need to some research on storm water system management. I learn lots of thing thorough out the research and other group's presentation. I hope I can get high marks in the final but the there are too much things to memorize. I will keep on learning for this subject and get high marks in my final exam.

Measurement II

We had learn some basic measurement in semester one, Measurement II is not as tough as the first time we learned measurement. We started to get use to it and having fun during our lectures and tutorials. All of the module is not so tough but the description is really long. We need to use long periods of times to memorize all of them but still can confuse them when we forget a little bit. My group mates for the assignment is my previous group mates when we are in semester one. They are Wen Qi, Yea Zhe, Jackson and Elliot. I am so happy to work with them again, it was a good experience to be the same group with them. When we have problem we will ask each other and help each other to the problems. I will keep on leaning on this subject but I hope we can get tutorials answer after we finished our tutorial class. Measurement is a subject that need to keep on practicing the tutorials but if we doesn't have the answer we will not have a guide line to finish our work. We got try to find out the answer from the lecture notes but not every answer can be solved. Then we need to wait until lecture class or tutorial class to ask for help but I still can understand all of the modules.
